FAQs

What size sprocket do I need for my go kart?

Sorry, it's not a simple answer. You'll need to match the sprocket size to your engine, track layout and driving style. Generally:

  • Smaller sprockets = faster top speed
  • Larger sprockets = quicker acceleration

Also, make sure to match your sprocket to your hub size (80mm, 81mm or 82mm).

What are Velocity and Revolution sprockets?

You'll have noticed we have two ranges - Velocity and Revolution. The main difference is:

  • Velocity sprockets offer half-size increments for precise control over gearing.
  • Revolution sprockets come in full sizes - a wider range that still gives you plenty of choice.

Both are built from high-tensile 7075-T6 aircraft aluminium for added strength and durability.

Why do these sprockets last so much longer?

Because we use top-grade 7075-T6 aircraft aluminium (which is lightweight yet super strong) and finish it with a heavy-duty coating to reduce wear and tear.

How do I know when to replace a sprocket?

The signs are clear; a worn sprocket has sharp, uneven or worn teeth. If you don't replace it, expect to see increased chain wear and decreased performance.
