Velocity Go Kart Sprockets: Half-Size Sprockets for Precise Gearing Control

Product Description

The Velocity Sprocket represents precision engineering for competitive kart racing. Crafted from 70/75 T6 aluminium, the highest grade available, this sprocket delivers exceptional durability and performance. Its design incorporates a premium high-grade coating that resists wear and extends component lifespan. The half-size sprocket range enables fine-tuned gearing adjustments, allowing you to optimise your setup for specific weather conditions and track characteristics. Our sprockets are built to fit both our own rapid release system but will also universally fit any other karting system. Whether you're chasing marginal gains on a technical circuit or adapting to changing conditions, this sprocket provides the reliability and precision serious racers demand.

Which Size Do I Need?

We offer a wide range of sprocket sizes for different uses on the track. Here is a rough guide to help you decide:

  • Low-ratio sprockets (64-70): Good for getting to top speed.
  • In-between sprockets (71-82): Balances gearing for a mixed bag of circuits.
  • High-ratio sprockets (83-96): For those tight technical tracks where every last bit of acceleration counts.
Precision CNC Manufacturing

Every sprocket is CNC cut to create an accurate and consistent tooth profile. This helps the chain engage smoothly and reduces unnecessary wear through long sessions.

Durable Protective Coating

A specialist protective finish adds resistance against wear and helps the sprocket maintain its performance across race days.

Compatible Rear Hub Sizes

Velocity sprockets fit the most common hub sizes used in modern karting. They are suitable for 80 mm, 81 mm and 82 mm rear hubs.

Half Sizes For Fine Adjustments : More Control Over Acceleration and RPM

Velocity sprockets are made for drivers who want the most accurate tuning possible. Each sprocket is crafted from strong 7075 T6 aircraft aluminium, which keeps the weight low while offering impressive durability.

The key benefit of the Velocity range is the half-size increments. These small steps give you more control over the way your kart accelerates and responds, especially on tracks where small adjustments can make a big difference.

If you want to fine-tune your gearing for qualifying or match your setup to changing conditions, Velocity sprockets give you that extra level of control.

Velocity sprockets are available from 65.5 through to 88.5. These small steps allow you to make subtle but meaningful adjustments. A half-tooth change can influence how your kart pulls out of slow corners or how it carries speed along a long straight.

With half-size increments, you can tune your kart without having to choose between two full-size options that may not feel quite right.

If you prefer a full-size sprocket with a wider range, take a look at our Revolution Sprockets They are perfect for practice days, testing or drivers who prefer a more traditional setup.

How To Choose The Right Sprocket Size

A larger sprocket usually gives quicker acceleration. A smaller sprocket helps increase top speed. The best choice depends on your engine, the layout of the circuit and how your kart behaves during corner exits.

If you are unsure which size you should choose, we can offer guidance based on your kart and racing class.
